Robyn Gavrila is an Independent Educational Consultant. She has a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from Fordham University, a certificate in educational consulting from University of California at Irvine, and a certificate in bilingual education from Houston Baptist University. She is a member of the following professional organizations: IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association), ASCA (American School Counselor Association), TACAC (Texas Association of for College Admission Counseling) and NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling). Robyn is certified in English as a second language, bilingual education, and English, and has many years of experience working with students from many different cultures, countries and backgrounds.
As an educational consultant, Robyn has the tools to reduce stress by guiding students and their families successfully through all the steps of the college application process, from identifying strengths, career goals and majors; matching students to schools where they can thrive and reach their goals; applying to colleges; navigating avenues of financial aid; and finally, transitioning from high school to college.
Her skills as a college essay coach are derived from 18 years of teaching writing in high school and community college. Having taught English as a second language for many years in high school, community college, and tutoring situations, Robyn also offers TOEFL coaching and English as a second language tutoring.
