COMPREHENSIVE 4 YEAR PACKAGE

Periodic review of academic records and advice on course selection and extracurricular activities; action plan with organizational timeline for testing and applications;  testing and test review recommendations(SAT, ACT); interest, personality and aptitude inventories to help you choose a major; guidance in assembling a list of schools to apply to; guidance throughout the application process, including review of the applications, essay and interview coaching, and putting together an impressive extracurricular activities resume;  filling out the FAFSA, calculating the cost of each school and information about paying for school, from government and school grants and scholarships to government loans to locating and applying for private scholarships; help in making the final choice when decision letters are received; and strategies to ease your transition to college.

 

        COMPREHENSIVE JUNIOR  PACKAGE 

Review of academic records and advice on course selection and extracurricular activities; action plan and organizational timeline for testing; testing and test review recommendations; strategies including interest, personality and aptitude inventories to define your unique college criteria and possible career goals;  assembling a list of schools that match your academic, personal and financial criteria and using research tools, virtual tours and college visits to narrow down the list to your best-fit schools. 

 

COMPREHENSIVE SENIOR PACKAGE

Review of academic records and advice on course selection and extracurricular activities; action plan and organizational timeline for testing; testing and test review recommendations; guidance throughout the application process, including review of the applications, essay and interview coaching, and putting together an impressive extracurricular activities resume; advice on filling out the FAFSA; calculating the cost of each school and information about paying for school, from government and school grants and scholarships to government loans to locating and applying for private scholarships;  help in making the final choice when decision letters are received; and strategies to ease your transition to college.                                   


 

MINI-PACKAGES

 

Choosing a Major –-expert interest, personality and aptitude inventories to help you decide your own unique college criteria

 

The List--finding schools for which you qualify that meet your requirements—academic, social, etc.; using research tools and virtual tours to compare the schools on your list on the basis of academic, social and financial considerations, and deciding which ones to apply to.                       


 

The Essay—Expert guidance from a certified and experienced writing instructor


 

The Interview—Extensive practice in body language, voice, and giving the best answers to commonly-asked interview questions                      


 

--College Visits—planning your trip, including up to 5 schools—transportation arrangements, itinerary including tours, meetings with admissions officers and faculty, and activities; and hotel and restaurant reservations.  You will be given a list of possible questions to ask admissions officers, faculty and especially students and a folder with a checklist for recording your impressions.


 

--Financial Aid 101 and Private Scholarship Search and Applications—Providing students, including international and undocumented students, necessary knowledge about filling out the FAFSA;  government and school grants and scholarships and government loans and loan repayment options; work-study programs; finding out how much each school will cost based on your expected family contribution; and help in researching and applying for private scholarships                                     


 

---Summer and Gap Year Programs—researching and applying to academic, travel and volunteer programs in the U.S. and abroad that will enrich you and enhance your extracurricular resume       


 

---TOEFL and IELTS Coaching—Practice and/or coaching  in each part of the TOEFL/IELTS test


 

---4 Hour Block—to be used to cover any one or combination of the above topics
